Functioning under dba Healthcare Resources
My experience as a perioperative registered nurse for 60 years has touched many facets of nursing including direct patient care, administrative positions, industry involvement, developing, marketing, training, sales of computer systems, consulting, working with legislators to pass pertinent legislation for patient safety, and development of my own company to assist doctor's office-based surgery facilities to become accredited. My focus recently has been to increase nursing school exposure to perioperative nursing by changing the curriculum to include this vital field. Another big focus is to develop opportunities for Legacy nurses in their retirement years. In addition, one of my biggest passions is to mentor nurses to be able to develop and expand their field of nursing. It takes teamwork and we can all do this and reach our greatest potential for the safety of our patients.
